Bertrand Russell – “…He (Christ) certainly thought his second coming would occur in clouds of glory before the death of all the people who were living at the time.  There are a lot of places where it is quite clear that he believed his second coming would happen during the lifetime of many then living… In that respect clearly he was not so wise…” (“Why I am Not A Christian”, p. 16)

Jews For Judaism (Website) – “Jesus did not come back “quickly”, as promised, to judge mankind.  The time is long past that one can claim that Jesus will come back “quickly”.  Thus, what we have in Rev. 22:20 is false prophecy.”

R. C. Sproul – (speaking on the time-text statements of Christ’s coming) “…skeptical criticism of the bible has become almost universal in the world.  And people have attacked the credibility of Jesus.  Maybe som Church fathers made a mistake.  Maybe our favorite theologians have made mistakes.  I can abide with that.  I can’t abide with Jesus being a false prophet, because if I am to understand that Jesus is a false prophet, my faith is vain.”  (“The Problem of Imminency”, Covenant Eschatology Symposium, Mt. Dora, FL 1993)

Because we believe in the inspiration of Scripture, we believe that all the time statements listed in the above verses to be true and accurate… most being fulfilled in Christ’s coming in judgment to fully terminate the Old Covenant Age and to destroy Jerusalem (Mystery Babylon) in 70 A.D.

We are therefore calling for a new Reformation in Bible-believing Christianity, a reformation in eschatology!
